A Night of Community and Celebration at Best of the Berkshires 

Access Plus was proud to be back at Best of the Berkshires 2025 as a Premium Sponsor. The event was packed with local businesses, community members, and plenty of good conversation. It was a fun-filled night that included the debut of our new mascot, Fiber Phil, who quickly became a crowd favorite.  

We asked two members of our AccessPlus Sales team, Tyler Rumsey and Sonny Olah, to share their take on the event.   

What was your favorite part of representing AccessPlus at the event?
Tyler: Honestly, getting to connect with people from all over the Berkshires. We talked to longtime residents, new business owners, and folks just curious about what AcessPlus is all about. In-person conversations are always the best.
Sonny: I agree. It’s always great to get the opportunity to share what makes AccessPlus different as the local provider bringing more connectivity to the Berkshires. 

Who was the most interesting person you talked to, and what made the conversation stand out?
Tyler: A gentleman came over carrying three information packets, one for each of the internet companies he is interested in. It was very organized, very enthusiastic, and definitely memorable. We look forward to working with him in the future.
Sonny: I had a great conversation with a lovely who is excited about our underground fiber. No above-ground lines for her!  

Did anyone recognize the AccessPlus brand or come up to share their experience with us?
Sonny: Yes! One of the best moments was when someone walked up and said, “We know you and we have some questions.”
Tyler: We had a lot of great conversations. People recognized our logo immediately and were excited to talk about their service needs.  

If you had to describe the energy in the room in three words, what would it be?
Both: Engaging, celebratory, exciting 

What local business or category were you most excited to see win?
Both: Best Hardware Store, Carr Hardware! They are longtime customers and we were thrilled to cheer for them and all the event winners.  

How do events like this help AccessPlus stay connected with the Berkshire community?
Tyler: They give us real face-to-face time with the people we serve.
Sonny: Exactly! Events like this give people a chance to talk to us directly, just by seeing the AccessPlus name online.
